Accordion in a Wintery Rice Park

Accordion in a Winter Rice Park  Acrylic on Canvas

St Paul is generally a quiet city in the evening.  I was surprised last week when I heard the sound of an accordion coming from Rice Park.  Rice Park is between the Landmark Center & the Central Library, and in February it is covered in ice & glowing with lights.  I had to cut through the park to see if someone was really playing outside in the snow.  With big hat on his head, and a another smaller hat for collecting tips, the accordionist played a song under the web of lights swaying in the trees.  A pleasant surprise for a quiet Sunday night.
