I am in Florence (Firenze) for a long weekend. Even though it is the end of October, there are still a lot of tourists in the city. I have been taking in the museums including the Uffizi and Accademia gallery, enjoying the many churches & piazzas and have wandered across the Ponte Vecchio more than once. I am finally seeing the art I have studied in history books! Above are two sketches from Piazza della Signoria and two from the room of my hotel on via Largo Fratelli Alinari. Thanks for reading! Autumn weather has arrived in Milan, I have to wear my gloves while sketching outside. Above are a few pages from my sketchbook, the top image is in the Porta Ticinese area where many people sit outside during their break and on Friday and Saturday evenings it is a lively place to enjoy a beer or a gelato.
